Relax and control your alcohol intake

alcoholIts here again – National Alcohol Awareness Week – 17th to 23rd November 2014

At my Gloucester hypnotherapy and therapy clinic I regularly help people with addictions. I show people how to control their drinking habits and reduce their alcohol consumption as well as other types of addiction such as gambling, drug issues and stopping smoking.

So why is it that some people can enjoy a glass of wine with a meal or have a few beers at the weekend whilst others rely on alcohol to get through each day?

It can start off as a gradual thing, perhaps a few drinks after a stressful day at work or to unwind after a long day. Some use it to block out the reality of loneliness, anxiety or fears.

School children using alcohol is now increasing and research shows that those who start drinking before the age of 13 are less likely to stay on at school to continue their education. Those over 70 often use alcohol to combat loneliness and worries. Some people are ‘secret drinkers’ and feel pressure and guilt about their actions.

Alcohol is more affordable now (over 50% more affordable today than it was 25 years ago!) and more people are choosing this easily accessible route.

Do you feel that you have a problem with alcohol?

Do your friends or family express concern about your drinking habits?

Do you feel that you ‘need’ a drink to relax at the end of the day?

If so, there is no need to suffer alone as you can be helped with this –

One to one hypnotherapy appointments at my Gloucester based practice or via skype can help with addictions such as stopping smoking, drug and alcohol issues. Simply call me on 07765 182127 to find out how easily you can be helped.  My practice is on Westgate Island opposite Dunelm where there is plenty of free parking.
